 Behind the label
The Vineyard currently boasts twelve acres of carefully tended vinifera varietals. Our location is near the shores of Lake Erie at the most southerly part of Canada and at the same latitude as Northern California and Bordeaux, France.
Colchester, Ontario enjoys climate and soil conditions that are ideal for growing vegetable and fruit crops including a variety of world-class grapes. It is with this natural gift that we plant, nurture and harvest the specially selected varieties that represent the starting point for each vintage of Colchester Ridge Wine.

Small Town Approach. Big Advantages.
Unlike vintners who may focus on quantity more than quality, at Colchester Ridge we prefer to do things differently. Our smaller scale and slower pace allow us to take a traditional hands-on approach to winemaking, monitoring every step with a passion and attention to detail not possible at mass volume producers. The result of this is quality and value in every bottle. |
